Leana Edwards


Leana is passionate about her work as a psychologist, holding a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from Lewis & Clark College in Oregon, USA and a Masters of Arts degree in Psychology from Humboldt State University in California. Both are recognized as leading programs in the field. Leana continually furthers her experience by staying abreast of new developments in Psychology.


Prior to working in private practice, Leana worked as a School Psychologist, providing wide ranging services and support to the educational community. Additionally, in this role, she was nominated as lead psychologist for the autism program, servicing non-verbal to high functioning students on the spectrum. Leana has extensive experience working with multidisciplinary teams including speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, adaptive physical education therapists, behaviour therapists, and medical professionals. While working in this role, she was presented the Vision Award due to her efforts supporting the students, educators and school community.


Leana enjoys working with individuals of all ages and focuses on the evaluation, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional and behavioural health issues. Leana has extensive experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum, helping them navigate life’s challenges and build resilience and self-confidence. Additionally, she has an extensive background in mindfulness, and is a qualified facilitator of the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program.
